We currently evaluate clients that are ages 6 and older, including adults interested in being evaluated for neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities. Clients younger than 6 years old may be seen on a case-by-case basis (please contact the office).
Dr. Frye does not currently conduct therapy. However, Dr. Lauren Meyer of Meyer Therapeutics provides therapy services within the same office. She can be contacted at [email protected]
The neuropsychological evaluation includes measures that assess different neurocognitive domains, including intellectual abilities, language, visual-spatial and visual-perceptual abilities, memory, attention, executive functions, motor skills, and academic performance. All tests are non-invasive. Responses involve pencil and paper-based activities, as well as computer or iPad-administered tasks.
Yes, we conduct Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs), which can be requested through your child’s school district (or assigned district if homeschooling). Families can indicate to the district that they would like Dr. Frye to be the IEE evaluator. More information on the IEE process is available here.
If academic performance is relevant to the referral question, academic testing will be included in the test battery. This type of testing assesses academic skills such as reading, written expression, and mathematics.
Yes, the comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation includes assessment of autism spectrum disorder if relevant to the referral question.
Please bring photo ID (if applicable) and payment. You may also bring snacks, a water bottle (also available on site), and a sweater (if desired). There will be a 1-hour lunch break during which you can leave the office. Clients may also bring lunch if preferred. A fridge and microwave are available.
In most cases, yes. Please take all prescribed medication as you normally would on the day of testing. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office.
All neuropsychological evaluations take place in person with appropriate sanitization and safety precautions. Feedback appointments can take place either in person or over a HIPAA-compliant telehealth service. We also offer adult evaluations for autism spectrum disorder via telehealth in Arizona and PSYPACT participating states.
Please complete all required paperwork included in your confirmation email. Also bring any relevant medical and educational records. Try to get adequate sleep the night prior to the evaluation. Take your medication as prescribed and eat breakfast the morning of the appointment (if desired). If you wear glasses or other assistive devices, please make sure to bring them.
Parents / guardians are required to accompany their children to the appointment. Parents / guardians will participate in a 1-hour interview at the start of the day and need to be available while their child is completing testing. Adults can bring a support person if desired for the interview portion of the evaluation who can provide collateral information.
Please cancel appointments as soon as you know that you will not be able to make it. These are full day appointments and only one client is seen per day. It is difficult to fill appointments without prior notice. No shows will result in any pre-paid fees being forfeited.
Payment is due at the time of the evaluation unless other arrangements have been made. We accept debit/credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, mobile payments (Apple/Google/Samsung Pay), as well as Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) Program funds from ClassWallet. You can also request a payment plan through CareCredit (https://www.
