Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) gives parents the right to obtain an independent educational evaluation (IEE), which is “an evaluation conducted by a qualified evaluator who is not employed by the public education agency responsible for the education of the child in question.” The evaluation can be requested from the child’s school district (or assigned district for homeschool students) and is provided at public expense (no cost to the family) if the parent disagrees with evaluation conducted by the school or feels that the child was not assessed in all areas of concern. An IEE is considered to be a second opinion.

Parents may select Frye Psychological Services as the IEE evaluator for their child. With a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals, we prioritize thoroughness and accuracy in our evaluations, ensuring that every aspect of a child’s educational functioning is carefully examined. Our approach combines evidence-based practices with compassionate understanding, empowering parents with valuable insights and recommendations to support their child’s educational journey.

At Frye Psychological Services, we strive to foster collaboration between parents, educators, and other professionals to promote the best possible outcomes for children, making us a trusted choice for families seeking reliable and insightful independent educational evaluations.
