Dr Sara Frye PhD

Sara Frye, PhD, NCSP
Founder and Lead Psychologist

Dr. Sara Frye is a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist. She received her bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD at the University of Arizona (Bear Down!). She completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where she specialized in pediatric neuropsychology, autism spectrum disorder, and behavioral sleep medicine. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Arizona and Banner-University Medical Center working on an NIH-funded clinical trial and at an outpatient neuropsychology practice.

Dr. Frye has practiced in a variety of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and schools. Her background is unique in that she has training in both pediatric neuropsychology and school psychology. Thus, she is knowledgeable about medical diagnoses and educational classifications. She strives to recognize strengths associated with all types of neurodivergence, as well as make recommendations to address barriers to help individuals navigate social, educational, and work demands.

Her clinical work was recognized at the state level as the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Early Career Psychologist Award from the Arizona Psychological Association. Dr. Frye is an Arizona native. She currently lives in Marana with her spouse, two children, and her dogs (Bonnie and Clyde).

Colleen Halpin, PhD, NCSP
Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Colleen Halpin is a postdoctoral fellow at Frye Psychological Services, as well as a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP). A wildcat through and through, she earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD at the University of Arizona. Dr. Halpin completed her pre-doctoral internship with the University of Arizona Psychology Internship Consortium (UArizona PIC) at Sunnyside Unified School District. There, she conducted comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, other health impairments, and other developmental disabilities.

Dr. Halpin has worked in the field of neuropsychological assessment since 2020. With the combination of her work in private practice, in addition to working at several local school districts, she is very experienced in both assessment and related recommendations. Though not an Arizona native, the Sonoran Desert is her home. Outside of the office, Dr. Halpin can be found taking long walks looking for her favorite flora, the crested saguaro.
